Before measuring DC current, hold the Z/F button until the ZERO character appears to reset the reading.

To measure current accurately, clamp the meter around a single wire, not the entire power cord. The power cord consists of two wires carrying current and a ground wire. Since the two currents flow in opposite directions, their magnetic fields cancel each other out, resulting in a reading of 0 A.

To obtain a proper measurement, grasp the individual current conductor and close the clamp around it, ensuring the conductor is centered within the clamp to avoid additional measurement errors.
